I've travelled solo for more than ten years and never once wanted to join a group tour.

I love the freedom of it. But some parts of travelling just feel different when you're alone.

The long drive through somewhere unfamiliar. Being the only guest at a remote lodge. An evening when you wish there were someone across the table. Or when something doesn't go to plan, and you have no one there to talk through what comes next.

The idea behind LocoSolo came from outside travel.

‍

Working in high-pressure environments in consulting and tech, I saw capable people lose confidence when the circumstances around them made them doubt themselves. What helped was rarely someone stepping in and taking over. More often, it was simply having people around them they could turn to, sometimes people they barely knew.

‍

It made me realise something about the kind of support I valued too. Not having someone make decisions for me, but knowing I didn't have to work everything out on my own.

‍

I started wondering whether travel could work like that: the freedom of going your own way, with people around for the parts you'd rather not do alone.

‍

That became LocoSolo.

‍

Trips designed for people who come on their own. We take care of the logistics, with room for both company and time to yourself, so the trip still feels like yours.

‍

Plenty of group tours will take someone travelling alone. I wanted to build trips around that person from the beginning.

‍

The kind of trip I'd actually join myself.
