WHY GO NOW
Kê Gà is a stretch of beach on Vietnam's south coast, about three hours by road from Ho Chi Minh City, and the resort on it is a five-star one. We arrange the drive. Once you are there, very little is scheduled: the beach, the pools, long breakfasts, and a table at dinner if you want company.
Some resort stays look good until you picture doing them alone. This one is about 45 minutes from the nearest city, with almost nowhere else to eat nearby, so every meal is at the resort. Alone, that is a long drive and then two nights of eating by yourself.
March is near the end of the dry season on this coast. It rains on about four days in the month, the wind is dropping, and the sea has warmed to about 27 degrees.
Early December is the start of the dry season. The days are a little cooler, at about 29 degrees, and it is the breezier of the two months. We go early in the month, before Christmas and New Year.
WHAT WE HANDLE
The route and meals
We arrange the drive in daylight and every meal at the resort, leave the days empty on purpose, and hold a table at dinner for anyone who wants company.

- You would rather have fewer places and more time than rush through checklist attractions.
Probably not the right fit if you want every hour of every day guided and scheduled.

Getting There
The trip starts and ends at Ho Chi Minh City (SGN), about 3 hours by road.
Flights
Not included, by design, so you can use your miles, choose your airline, and add days before or after. Once the dates are set, we recommend flights that make the most of your time and use the fewest days of leave, and we check typical fares.
Good To Know
- Time off. A long weekend; the exact days of leave are confirmed with the dates.
- Group size. Never more than 15.
- Rooms. If you choose twin-share, we will pair you with another solo traveller of the same gender. A private room is available as an upgrade.
- Meals. Some meals are arranged; the rest are at your own cost, with suggestions from us.
- Itinerary changes. Weather may shift timing or routing, always made with safety and experience quality in mind.
- Before you go. You will be added to a private group chat with the other travellers. Everyone in it chose this trip too, so it is an easy place to start. Join in as much or as little as you like.
